EAC was founded by a small group of parents supported by 3M in 1956.

EAC students have an opportunity to earn an American High School Diploma, a Brazilian Ensino Médio Diploma, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma

EAC is truly an international school serving 850 students,ages 2-19, representing over 20 nationalities

Currently, EAC alumni study at highly competitive colleges and universities in 8 different countries including Brazil.

A highly qualified, multi-national faculty/staff is deeply committed to helping students achieve their academic and personal potential.

EAC supports the philosophy inclusion by offering a comprehensive Student Support and Success Program that includes English Language Learning, Learning Support, Social-Emotional Counseling, Career/University Advising, and Health Services.

EAC is accredited by Council of International Schools (London, UK) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (Boston, USA).

EAC focuses on supporting the development of the whole child by offering a robust after school extracurricular program in the following areas: athletics, technology, the arts, and global citizenship.

EAC is a dual language school (English/Portuguese) and is authorized to administer the Montessori Program in Preschool, a standards-based American and Brazilian Program in Grades 1-12, and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program in Grades 1-5 and Diploma Program in Grades 11-12.

Students and their parents are deeply connected to and proud of EAC. EAC alumni remain active and involved in the school community.
