What does EAC's school year look like?
EAC follows the American school calendar which begins in August and ends in June. The 2024/5 school calendar can be found here.
I would like to visit the school. How should I apply?
Interested families should fill out the inquiry form. Mrs Lélia Almeida, EAC Admissions Director (admissions@eac.com.br), will contact families soon after they submit the completed inquiry form to schedule campus visits.
What are the dates/deadlines for application?
Students entering in August must submit all necessary forms and documentation by April/May. Students entering in January must submit all necessary forms and documentation by October/November. Final decision based on availability of school vacancies will occur by 2nd week of June for August admissions and 2nd week of December for January admissions.
What are the age guidelines for grade level placements?
K2 (Toddler) applicants for August 2024 must turn two years old by September 30, 2024. Children coming from schools with different calendars (e.g. January-November) will be placed in the grade they are currently attending (if enrolled in the beginning of the EAC school year), or in the grade which he/she has just completed (if enrolled in the second semester in EAC). Final decision for grade placement rests with the school.
What are the admissions criteria?
Criteria, including English-language fluency, vary according to grade level. For more information, please contact Mrs Lélia Almeida, EAC Admissions Director (admissions@eac.com.br). EAC recognizes that child protection and welfare considerations permeate all aspects of school life and must be reflected in all of the school’s policies, practices and activities.
How much does it cost to study at EAC?
Tuition fees change according to grade levels. Please check with Admissions for further questions and/or information.
How many students currently attend EAC?
Approximately 850 students are currently enrolled at EAC.
What are the school hours?
EAC offers half- and all-day K2 (Toddler) options, from 7:45 – 11:30 am or 2:55pm. Preschool and Elementary students learn from 7:45 – 2:55 pm; Upper School students learn from 8:10 – 3:34 pm.

Are there after school sports and activities? Can students of all ages attend?
Elementary after school athletics and activities begins at 3:15 pm and ends at 4:15 pm. Upper School athletics and activities run from 3:45 to 6:30 pm.
