We Grow as Giants
EAC teachers are designers of learning. What this means is that EAC teachers use a process and a structure to guide curriculum, assessment, and instruction. This process and structure focuses on teaching, assessing for learning, and learning transfer and emphasizes “backward design” (beginning with the learning outcomes in mind). The design process we use at EAC is grounded in the Understanding by Design Framework developed by Grant Wiggins and Jay McTigue.
